Description:
The big night, with torch lit procession and fireworks display.
Timings:
- 5.30pm Meet Chailey Secondary School
- 5.45pm Procession forms up
- 6.00pm Procession leaves school
- 6.40pm Arrive @ Five Bells
- 7.00pm Procession forms up
- 7.10pm Leave the pub
- 7.25pm Procession stops at memorial (Chailey Green)
- 7.45pm Procession leaves memorial
- 8.05pm Arrive at fire site
- 8.30pm Firework display to commence
- 8.45pm End of event
Road Closures:
The A275 will be closed from Beggars Wood Road (North Chailey) up to Mill Lane (South Chailey) from 6pm through until 9pm (or when deemed safe to reopen the roads). Closures will also be applied to Markstakes Lane and Cinder Hill at the A275 end.
An additional closure at 6pm will be applied from Chailey Surgery up to the A275 at the end of Mill Lane to allow the procession to leave Chailey School, this should not last longer than 30 minutes.
